Obituary

Roy Harmon Longbrake, 76, of N. Fort Myers, FL passed away on July 29, 2009. He was born on March 11, 1933 in Bellefontaine, OH to George and Sarah Longbrake. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. Roy worked for the United Telephone Service of Ohio and when transferred to Florida in 1974. U.T.S. then became Sprint, he retired as a Switchman after 42 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, making many diverse items. He also enjoyed gardening, sprint and stockcar racing. He was a member of the Pioneer Club and the I.B.E.W.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Longbrake of Sidney, OH, Tom Longbrake of Indian Land, SC, Donna Hunt of Naples, FL, Roy H. Longbrake, Jr. of Lehigh Acres, FL and Steve Longbrake of Cape Coral, FL; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Florence Brown of Troy, OH. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 4th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. Interment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
